Horizontal scrolling websites are usually one page websites that scrolls either to your left or right. Many people have different opinion on this type of website. Some consider it evil, some consider it good, and some people vouch that it is not for older people; though I would like to differ from the latter opinion. Whether you like horizontal scrolling websites or not would depend totally on your personal preference.
One thing you can be sure of is that it is not a traditional type of website. Most websites are vertically scrolling and most of us are used to such type of websites. When we encounter a website that scrolls horizontally, it can take some of us by surprise. Horizontal scrolling sites also do not work for all type of websites. For example, having a horizontally scrolling blog may not be such a good idea.
I find horizontal scrolling sites challenging and artistic. It takes a lot of creativity, visualization and imagination to design such sites. It also takes a lot of courage to go against popular opinion and design something that is different.
